How to save money buying an inkjet printer?

Canon Pixma MG2120

How to buy an inkjet printer for the reasonable price? Printers cost not too much but the ink tanks filling is not going to save your money. Sometimes the ink for the simple inkjet or a multifunction printer costs even more than the devise itself.

Usually if the printer is cheap then its inks’ price is high. Decide whether you need to buy an expensive device with the cheap ink or the cheap printer with an expensive ink depending on the purpose of printing. Choose the most economical variant for yourself referring to how long you need to keep the device, what kind of documents you will print and the amount of printing material that is planned to be produces during a certain period.

For instance, Canon Pixma MG2120 is a cheap printer that is offered for $70 and of course the price for its inks is high. The color printout costs 14 cents per page and 6.3 cents per a straight text page. The example for an expensive device can be the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-In-One Printer that can be purchased for $300. Obviously the price for its ink is lower.

Don’t buy the printers with tiny cartridges that are called the ‘starter’ ones and are not supposed to be sold at all. Such cartridges print less pages and it is sure that the ink in them is over very soon. Select the black and color ink tanks separately because if you run out of one of the colors you don’t have to exchange the tank entirely. Prefer the cartridges with high-capacity (which volume is bigger) they will allow you print more pages.
