Lenovo ThinkPad X130e – protected laptop for pleasant work
The replenishment of the Lenovo ThinkPad X100 production line of compact laptops has appeared to be quite unusual. The company has offered not simply laptop with the updated stuffing, but improved its physical protection and changed its positioning. Now it designed exactly for office work, and is the convenient computer for children, capable to bear not very serious acts of vandalism from their side.
In particular, the company has improved the security of ThinkPad X130e case and its drive, as well as reliability of its moving parts. Around the gentlest component of a laptop, the display unit, there is a damping frame, and loops possess a rugged construction, processing minimum of 30 thousand cycles. Moreover, there is the built in accelerometer that protects hard disk drive in case of device falling down or accidental shocks. Though, it is more reliable to use the SSD-drive, but it is the machine of a budgetary class.
The raised security of the case negatively affected its mass. 11,6-inch ThinkPad X130ewhich weights 1,78 kg. Talking about stuffing this model can be equipped both with AMD and Intel platform, namely, by the Intel Core processor i3-2367M or APU AMD Fusion E-300 and E-450.
In a basic complete set the device is delivered with 2 GB of a RAM (maximum capacity — 8 GB), 500 GB hard disk drive, Bluetooth 3.0 and 6-section accumulator providing up to 8,5 hours of an autonomous work. RapidBoot Firm technology urged to provide fast start of system — less than in 20 seconds. Also the device includes three USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi adapter, Ethernet adapter, HDMI and VGA outputs, a 4-v-1 card reader and combined 3,5-mm jack for connection of a microphone or earphones. ThinkPad X130e will do on sale on December, 20th with the starting price from $470.
