Logitech’s new Solar Keyboard Folio protects iPads and charges from light

Logitech has just revealed its new solar-powered device dubbed as the Solar Keyboard Folio. There’s no doubt that owners of iPads and iPads 2 will appreciate this robust and slim Bluetooth keyboard which is a capable of getting power from light. Aside from that the device acts as a sort of protective case which makes it more valuable for customers.
By the way the Solar Keyboard Folio originally came from Logitech’s Mac as well as PC solar keyboards. In other words the keyboard was adapted to ensure compatibility with both second and third-generation iPads. The Solar Keyboard Folio makes use of on-board solar cells so the device can be charged in any light.
Logitech actually claims that the Solar Keyboard Folio is able to work for about two years if it’s fully charged and taking into account that it’s used at least two hours a day. Moreover the accessory is specially designed to stand in two positions. So the first position ensures the full use of the device whilst another one provides almost all functionality except the first row which acts as one-touch media playback as well as volume controls. In other words users can play music or movies and adjust volume instantly.
As many other up-to-date iPad covers, the Solar Keyboard Folio also has got a magnetised panel, which is responsible for waking iPad up and putting this device to sleep each time a customer opens and closes it.
By the way the Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio is expected to go on sale in the USA and EU later in May and one will have to shell out up to $129.99 for this stuff.
