Chimps Memory Capacity Research

A recent research suggested that chimpanzees are smarter than human beings in short-term memories. Tetsuro Matsuzawa, a Japanese researcher at Kyoto University’s Primate Research Institute, exhibited a video about a chimpanzee named Ayumu featuring amazing abilities. The presentation made at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) showed that when the numbers between 1 and 9 appeared on the screen and then disappeared Ayumu was able to dictate their exact sequence with high precision.
