Samsung licenses graphic developments

New message, according to which Samsung will license all the developments of Imagination Technologies, concerning graphic processors, has been published on the Imagination Technologies’ portal. More in detail, speech concerns objects of intellectual property of the GPU PowerVR SGX MP. Imagination Technologies informs that Samsung intends to use GPU information about 1-crystal systems during the production process of mobile devices and other electro technologies. The present situation seems to be very spicy, due to the fact that GPU PowerVR SGX MP is a part of 1-crystal system that is named А5. This system is basic for iPad 2 and Apple iPhone 4S from Apple Inc. Moreover, Samsung carries out A5 system at the request of Apple Inc. It is known, that these two companies are uncompromising competitors at the mobile device market.

It is known, that Samsung is in the list of companies that are interested in graphical processor Mali-T658, the presentation of which has been held recently. On the basis of it, we can make a conclusion that the South Korean Company does not feel like limiting itself in the process of choosing graphic decisions for their own 1-crystal systems.
