Sony TV Group will be divided into 3 groups: LCD, outsourcing, following generation

On Monday, Sony Company informed that in order to stop losing money and cut costs Sony TV group is divided into three separate groups. The main will be LCD group, the second — developing technologies of following generation, such as an OLED, and the third — outsourcing (group of software development and insertions). Such division of one big group allows issuing tasks more accurately and supervising easier their performance. Moreover each group will be responsible only for own piece of operation.

Sony Company has been facing with difficulties for the last few months, and they have a constant lowering of profit. This is caused generally by lowering of sales Sony TV sets. Though, the same tendency in the market of televisions is considerable for other top world manufacturers, this market becomes more and more strict and competitive. Companies envisage the main problem — the strong saturation of the market as the majority people have already had the TV set and are reluctant to buy new sets as often as manufactures want it. The release of smartphones and tablet PCs has decreased demand in TV market. The reason is that televisions more and more often are replaced with compact devices and play secondary role. Nowadays there is no time for tumbling down on a sofa near the TV set. People watch TV shows through smartphones or computers.
Nowadays more and more large companies pass to IT outsourcing. It allows them to cut down expenses on creation and support of program complexes.
