IBM will produce Hybrid Cube Memory for Micron

As it was informed earlier, the Samsung and Micron Companies intend to advance jointly DRAM HMC (Hybrid Memory Cube). Now IBM and Micron Companies announced the cooperation beginning on manufacturing of Hybrid Memory Cube on the basis of IBM TSV (through-silicon via) technology. It is marked that the given manufacturing techniques of HDD chips allow providing speed of new type hard drives operations which significantly exceed possibilities of the modern analogs.
Within the limits of announced cooperation IBM will be engaged in manufacturing of Hybrid Memory Cube at the semi-conductor factory in East Fishkill city, the State of New York. Thus, manufacturing will be carried out on norms of 32-nm HKMG (High-K Metal Gate – a dielectric with high dielectric a constant and transistors with a metal lock) technological process.
